Organic Waste Gas Treatment Technology of Catalytic Combustion
Organic Waste Gas Treatment Technology: Catalytic Combustion
Organic waste gas as a common pollutant discharged by petrochemical engineering, light industry, plastic industry, printing & painting industry, and more contains mainly hydrocarbon compounds, oxygen-containing organic compounds, and sulfur-, nitrogen-, halogen- , phosphorus-containing organic compounds, causing serious pollution and impairing human health. Catalytic combustion technology can effectively reduce the organic waste gas through gas-solid catalytic reaction where a lower ignition temperature allows the occurrence of flammable combustion leading to the oxygenolysis of the gas into CO2 and H2O and the generation of large amounts of heat.
Noble metal catalyst the key to catalytic combustion technology has the following advantages:
1. It makes possible to lower the initial combustion temperature, for instance, to indoor temperature for Pt catalyst (Pt / Al2O3) with alumina as the carrier like methanol and formaldehyde from 300 ~ 600 ℃ in direct combustion method.
2. Combustion is free from the influence of hydrocarbons concentration.
3. There is no secondary pollution.
4. There is a quick response with a less investment in simple devices.
